Q2 2016 Snaps Back After "Brexit" Scare

The second quarter of 2016 ended with mixed results after a sharp late June sell-off in reaction to the historic “Brexit” vote. For the quarter the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial averages managed nearly 2% gains while the Nasdaq closed out with a little over a 1% loss. Second quarter earnings releases start being announced during the week of July 18th. Those results will shed light on the health of the US economy and largely dictate the markets direction heading into the pre-election stretch.
